Parthenocissus Amazonica hanging pot
In its native environment, this plant would typically grow as a climber, but if its stems are unsupported, it makes a handsome trailer that will cascade over the edges of a pot.
Originating from tropical regions, they like relatively stable temperatures (ideally above 15°C) and a well-lit position that does not get direct sunlight (think steamy jungle!). Water regularly in the growing season, making sure the compost gets dry to the touch before repeating the process, and cut back a little in winter.
Sometimes you may hear of this plant being called the Sugar Grape, they can produce tiny beads of an (inedible) sugary substance on the foliage. This is completely harmless and can either be brushed or washed off.
